About Messages:

I rarely post messages here.  Mainly because I figure others aren’t interested. If I thought they were then I would post them.  I do however almost always post msgs at Paper Images - Lists.

About content:

I find many of the contemporary artists I post on Paper Images from several magazines I subscribe to, ARTnews, American Art Collector and American Art Review.

Because so many people are posting art there is duplication, many of the same images are posted by different people, sometimes almost at the same time. I think in most cases others are unaware of who is posting what and are not copying others - that is certainly true of me. I don’t copy other’s posts even if I post the same image only hours or days later. It’s just a coincidence.

Artist credit:

All artists, photographers, writers, compilers, in short everyone who creates content, deserves credit for their work. Posted content should show the creator’s name in the caption and it should not be removed. And if a posted work does not give credit then it probably should not be reblogged (unless the post states that the creator is unknown but effort should be expended to make sure this is correct). Retaining comments or other information I consider optional, albeit preferable, but it should be up to the owner of the blog who posted the work (I don’t mind if my comments are deleted as long as the artist’s name is not).

Submissions:

I don’t take submissions, mainly because I don’t want to have to turn someone down.
